Thornhill Shopping Centre was officially opened on the 26 March
2009 by councillor Maseriti Legora of the Polokwane Municipality.
The R100million centre is a joint venture between Atterbury
Property and Tysocon
Property and is strategically positioned on the corner of Veldspaat
(the Breweries road) and the Munnik/Duiwelskloof road close to the
R71 that now forms part of the N1 diversion
The Bendor area is well-known and is one the fastest-growing and
most sought-after areas in Polokwane.
Since the opening, the 8730m2 Centre has become a landmark shopping
destination for Polokwane shoppers, offering over 20 stores of convenience
and a shopper friendly environment in a village-type architecture,
which includes the use of natural stone brickwork and aesthetically
pleasing finishes
The good mixture of shops also offers shoppers a welcoming, relaxed,
safe and unpretentious environment with adequate parking at Thornhill
Shopping Centre.
