Thornhill Shopping Centre was officially opened on the 26 March 2009 by councillor Maseriti Legora of the Polokwane Municipality. The owners of the centre is Safari Investments RSA (www.safari-investments.com).
The centre is positioned on the corner of Veldspaat and the Munnik/Duiwelskloof road, close to the R71 which now forms part of the N1 diversion. The Bendor area is well-known and is one the fastest-growing and most sought-after areas in Polokwane.
Since the opening, the 12,467m² Centre has become a landmark shopping destination for Polokwane shoppers, offering over 20 stores of convenience and a shopper friendly environment in a village-type architecture, which includes the use of natural stone brickwork and aesthetically pleasing finishes. The virtuous mixture of shops also offers shoppers a welcoming, relaxed, safe and unpretentious environment with adequate parking at Thornhill Shopping Centre.
